Model Z Indoor Rocket Launch pad Setup

The video on the right will show you step-by-step instructions on how to use the Model Z indoor launch pad. The steps are reiterated in the instructions below.

NOTE: Previous model (no longer sold) is shown in the indoor demo video. The new design can be used indoors and outdoors, and is shown in the outdoor demo video but can be used indoors just as seamlessly as the old model.

 

STEP 1

Unravel both pressure lines to a safe, designated point.

STEP 2

Connect bicycle pump to black air line, making sure the valve is closed.

(Students pressurize their rocket with air, using a bicycle pump with a gauge.)

 

STEP 3

The event supervisor connects a bicycle pump to the translucent (white) Air Line.

STEP 4

Load rocket onto the launch pad and slide the Restraining Pin around the nozzle of the rocket.

 

STEP 5

Pressurize rocket via the black air line. (This is accomplished by the student.)

The supervisor then pressurizes the white air line to approximately 80-100 psi. (This usually takes one or two strokes.) 

 
 

STEP 6

You are now ready to launch!

Use the green button to launch the rocket!
